Abstract :
This paper presents a novel design procedure of the calibration network for circular smart antenna array. Based on a hybrid method of blind calibration and injecting reference signals into all channels of the antenna array, a calibration network for the SCDMA system is realized by a 1:8 Wilkinson power divider/combiner and coupled line directional couplers. Experimental results show that the design procedure is of high value for the 3rd generation mobile communication.
