  • Abstract
Left handed transmission lines periodically loaded by split ring resonators and shunt wires have been fabricated in a fin line technology. Taking benefit of a closed electromagnetic system, where there is no radiation loss and owing to a left handed character, we have specially analyzed them. We first demonstrate the left-handedness character of this frequency selective transmission line via (i) the dispersion diagram calculations which have been compared to the frequency dependence of measured scattering parameters, (ii) the tracking of the phase fronts and (iii) from the phase offset between two lines of various lengths.
