Abstract
Within this paper various generic interlocking systems are reviewed and their application considered. This paper will discuss: the choices we have; how we would make a selection of a particular style of product; what the advantages and disadvantages are of each generic type; what the cost drivers are; and the future. The intention of this paper is to provide a framework for application or system engineers to select the best generic product to suit their own administrations requirements.
