Abstract
This paper should provide a short overview of the background, intention and concept of the Training Course for Biomedical/Hospital Technicians. It has been developed to provide technicians in rural areas in developing countries with a basic knowledge and simple techniques for handling and maintenance of medical equipment in health care facilities mainly of the primary up to the secondary level of health care delivery.
