Abstract :
This paper focuses on the modelling of the reverse link of a WCDMA system in a non-homogeneous environment. Multiple traffic spatial and service non-uniformities are considered in the analytical model, then deriving expressions for required transmitted power and the associated outage probability. Special attention is also paid to the effect caused by different transmission bit rates and the spatial location of the traffic non-uniformities. The performance of the system is determined by QoS parameters, so that QoS may be controlled by setting an appropriate threshold. Such a threshold may be obtained by means of expressions found out throughout the paper
