Abstract
For many applications and services which can be offered to a mobile subscriber the knowledge of the accurate position is required. Various positioning solutions are available whose applicability and accuracy depends on the different ambient conditions. Especially in urban environments database correlation methods based on the comparison of a location dependent measured value with a database to determine the position have shown promising results. This paper presents a method employing features extracted from a channel impulse response as location sensitive parameter and accurate ray tracing prediction models
