  • Abstract
    This article describes the approach adopted and the results obtained by the international team developing WBLST - a system for delivering Web based courses in sciences and technologies. The paper gives the reasoning which has led to the choice of an on-line teaching strategy. The delivery model developed is designed to operate with domain concepts as relevant providers of semantic links, in order to use them for dynamic generation of coherent learning occurrences. The system has been applied for complete e-courses in telecommunications. The effectiveness of the chosen on-line teaching strategy is evaluated on the bases of students´ marks on regular term tests. The results show that the incorporated in the model teaching strategy improves the learning results in general and especially for tasks, demanding to operate with related previous knowledge
