  • Abstract
    Visually impaired person (VIP) has many problems in her/his personal and social life. Substitution of other senses for the sense of sight has been a major solution; and computer is the best choice for the transformation of one sense to the other. Moreover, information and communication technology (ICT) is getting more shares in the human transactions and is a major common social media. Therefore when VIP is in direct contact to the ICT-based common media, automatically is able to have her/his share. This paper emphasizes on ordinary computers instead of special ones, to bring the blind in the common ICT media and reports our experience on developing ICT skills for the blind on the ordinary computers, exploiting the object oriented (OO) approach
