Abstract :
A network medical continuous monitoring system has been designed and implemented for the diagnosis of heart abnormalities. The diagnosis depends basically on the acquisition of electrocardiogram (ECG), its analysis, and the decision is made depending on the parameters extracted from the acquired signal and fed into a PC near the patient. The results are sent to the server through the network and accumulated at the database server to build the ECG database. The acquisition system based on six leads of ECG represents adequate measurements for the automated arrhythmia diagnosis according to the cardiologists´ consultation. The system was tested in Al Salmaniyah Hospital in Manama - Kingdom of Bahrain and the project was supported by Delmon University for Science and Technology
