Abstract
Case management has been widely promoted as a strategy that can improve clinical outcomes while reducing medical costs. This paper introduces case management as a very critical approach for healthcare organizations. Also the goal of this paper is to design an architecture for a hospital case management system and describe how we can model one of the main subsystems of hospital case management systems. One of the innovations of the paper is using fuzzy rule-based approach to model case management subsystems and expert systems´ role in case management system. The main finding of the paper is providing one systematic view to case management, thus the usefulness of this method would be proved
