Abstract
The PKI (public key infrastructure) has different structures such as the tree mode, the cross-belief mode, and the hybrid mode etc. How to find out a trust path to verify the authenticity of a certificate is very important in PKI. In this paper, we have proposed a new method of verifying certificates, which is based on trust matrix to construct trust path in PKI without considering the structure of PKI. Compared with the traditional method, this method has lower computation complexity when verifying certificates and guarantees its security at the same time
