Abstract
The influence of focusing magnetic field values on the Cherenkov oscillator efficiency has been investigated on the basis of the irregular waveguide two-dimensional excitation theory. A range of magnetic field values has been discovered where failure of oscillations is observed due to the fulfillment of a gyroresonance condition at one of spatial harmonics of the excited microwave field
