Abstract
For low-rate wireless personal area networks (LRWPANs) such as 802.15.4, there are very strict requirements on both, the power consumption and the complexity of the transceiver. Fortunately, the 802.15.4 physical layer is designed for noisy environments. In this paper, a low complexity receiver front end will be introduced with moderate loss in receiver performance, whereby exploiting the properties of the signal.
