Abstract
Though the great market potential is attractive, there are still many uncertainties regarding the operation of m-commerce in the emerging economies like China. This paper tries to help relative organizations to gain insight on m-commerce implementation in such a transitional context. Based on an in-depth case study in China, we found the potential m-commerce firms should learn to respond adequately to the change of both the market demand and regulatory requirements. The continuous adaptation and trust among the organizations across industrial value chain became critical to build the ecosystem to enable the business community together with its environment to function as a whole unit
