An optical performance measurement of concentration systems is a complicated task. Usually, these optical systems are composed by several elements strongly related among them for producing particular light patterns which are extremely difficult of duplicating out of the system itself. This paper analyzes main test strategies for optics in HCPV but mainly focused on two stage optical systems like TIR-R concentrator
