Abstract
In this paper, we present a novel set of frequency hopping (FH) sequences which have few-hit zone (FHZ). Different from the existing FH sequences with no-hit zone (NHZ), the proposed set not only has good correlation properties within FHZ, but also has a large family size. The quasi-synchronous frequency hopping code division multiple access (QS-FH-CDMA) systems using such FH sequences with FHZ can be with less multiple access interference (MAI) and accommodate more users as long as the shifts between sequences are within the FHZ
