Abstract
We demonstrate a theoretical analysis of radio frequency filter with optical spectrum shaping. Based on the results, it has also been proposed in this paper, using polarization multiplexing and wavelength division multiplexing to realize arbitrary RF transfer function. An all-optical RF notch filter has been realized theoretically. The estimated performances show that the notch filter can be tuned over the frequency from tens of MHz to hundreds of GHz with uniform shape factor of 2.4
