Abstract
A novel channel estimation algorithm for MIMO system is presented in this paper, which is based on the clonal selection theory and the idea of immune evolution. The effectiveness of our method is demonstrated through the simulation in a MIMO system what is known as Vertical Bell-Labs Layered Space Time system (V-BLAST). Simulation results show that the BER performance of channel estimation based on clonal selection algorithm (CA) with proper algorithm parameters is better than the maximum likelihood (ML) and minimum mean-square error (MMSE) channel estimation algorithms
