  • Abstract
Reorganization is one of the key issues of organization theories. The purpose of this paper is to present a graph transformation based meta-model for describing specific structural evolution in multi-agent systems from the view of organizational structures. This meta-model captures our understanding of organizational structures and our considerations of the formal process of dynamic reorganization in open multi-agent environments. In order to express main elements and their inter-relations in the organizational structures, a multi-level graph is proposed as the core concept of the meta-model. Based on the meta-model, an adaptive architecture is also introduced to specify the process of structural evolution of organizations in multi-agent systems and the operational semantics of this reorganization process is defined with algebraic graph transformation. Finally, simulation results are specified with this meta-model
