Abstract :
Multi-symbol encapsulated OFDM system will find wide applications in the future communication systems for its capabilities of mitigating the major drawbacks of the traditional OFDM. In this paper a channel estimation method for MSE-OFDM is proposed. The method is based on the maximum likelihood principle, in order to minimize the mean square error of channel estimation, the optimal training sequence suitable for the channel estimation method is find out. The condition of choosing the optimal training sequence for the maximum likelihood channel estimation is investigated. Simulation results indicate the proposed channel estimation method is feasible and effective for MSE-OFDM
