Abstract :
To increase the image contrast of the internal arteries at in vivo conditions, increasing of SNR magnitude and homogeneity are very important. In this study, we introduce a new design for the monopole probe by using a thin coaxial cable. The improvement of SNR distribution around the proposed probe relative to the conventional monopole probe is verified quantitatively versus SNR indices. The simulation results show that the total value and homogeneity of SNR dataset around the proposed probe are increased by 31.72% and 28.57% respectively as compared to corresponding parameters of the conventional monopole probe at 63.875 MHz.
