Abstract
This paper provides a first study on the idea of bone plate morphing. A linear analysis is performed on the simplified model of the human radius with a bone plate having a micro scratch. The goal of this micro scratch is to relocated the maximum stress to a preferred location, where e.g. failure is allowed to occur after a period of time.
