Abstract :
In this paper we present a Hamiltonian path-based version of the sieve algorithm. Our method is simple to implement and can be made to behave like either the 1-d or 2-d sieve algorithm depending on the number of paths used. Experiments indicate its performance for noise removal and non-rotated texture analysis is equivalent to the original sieve.
