Abstract
High-resolution tracking vertex detectors in high luminosity colliders for Nuclear Physics and High-Energy Physics experiments require low radiation length sensors to minimize the scattering of the charged particles, small pixel size, and fast readout. We are developing silicon Geiger Active Pixel Sensor (GAPS) Arrays for high-resolution tracking of charged particles with applications to microvertex detectors. We report here the first results on their position resolution, readout and interconnect technology.
