Abstract :
To clarify the mechanism of surface flashover in vacuum, it is necessary to investigate time dependence of surface charging from voltage application to flashover event. In this research, the real time measurement of 2D surface charge distributions has been carried out in vacuum using a Pockels device. Commercial AC high voltage was applied to some kinds of organic films through a needle electrode producing non-uniform electric field
