Abstract :
In this paper, we investigate and compare the performance of MIPv6, IP2 and Q.MMF with respect to the time and cost in the case of location registration. We analyze the performance of each scheme using the metrics and an M/M/1 queueing system. As shown the numerical analysis, the performance in Q.MMF Case 1 is better than that in MIPv6, IP2 and Q.MMF Case 2. In this case, the reason is that the LLM in the access network manages the location information of MN.
