Abstract :
In this work, PSO is applied to solve power flow problem. For efficient search, some parameters in PSO are investigated and parameter sensitivity analyses are carried out to find the optimum value for the relevant parameters. We further recommend a set of optimal PSO settings applied in Two-phase Particle Swarm Optimization in tackling power flow problem. Results show remarkable improvement in comparison to original PSO and Constrained Genetic Algorithm Power Flow (CGAPF).
