Abstract
Trajectory sensitivities provide a way to quantify the variation of trajectory resulting from (small) disturbances of parameters and/or initial condition. The trajectory sensitivity analysis has been applied in parameter identification, dynamic performance analysis of power system, and so on. The calculation of trajectory sensitivity is commonly based on the definition of itself. It relies on the numerical integration, is time consuming, and can not provide the sound physical understanding about the sensitivity. A convolution method for calculating trajectory sensitivity has been proposed in this paper, by use of typical measured system dynamic trajectories. Based on the analytical frequency characteristics of the measured trajectory, it has been proved that trajectory sensitivity can be expressed as the linear composition of a step response and impulse response in frequency domain. The power system example shows that the proposed method can be used to identify power system coefficients.
