Abstract
In the last couple of years world-leading software companies and a great number of other firms have introduced agile processes in their organizations. The aim of this research is to analyze and summarize studies on agile practices and techniques and to propose a framework for evaluation of the applicability of a given set of practices. As a first step of the analysis, practices available for each phase of the software development life-cycle are identified. Counting the dependencies and the constraints between them, estimation of practices´ compatibility is shown. Secondly, the impact of several external factors, divided in three main categories-social, business and technological, is examined. The results from the analysis help a set of practices to be evaluated against the other according to internal dependencies between practices and particular external factors.
