Abstract
In this paper, we propose a method for registration of surface shapes. In particular, we are concerned with facial shape under variation of facial expression. The registration is controlled by few manually identified landmarks and based on matching the shapes in spaces spanned by the geodesic distance to triplets of such landmarks. In a final step a robust mean operator is used to arrive at the final registration.
