Abstract

This paper deals with the implementation of the ASON/GMPLS CARISMA network, located in the premises of the Optical Communications Group of UPC. It is composed by ROADM remotely controlled by a GMPLS- based control plane. The paper highlights some open issues in the deployment of services-aware intelligent optical networks.
