Abstract
We introduce a multi-channel super high frequency TV signal transmission system that passes a multi-channel TV signal, super-high frequency (SHF), through access fiber to the optical network unit (ONU). In the ONU, the signal is down converted to the intermediate frequency (IF) by a low noise block down converter (LNB). The IF signal is output to the television set. Measured characteristics of two of the system´s key components, the cascaded optical modulation scheme and the two-step optical SSB modulation scheme, are reported.
