Abstract
Recently, the discontinuous armature PM-LSM (DPM-LSM) is proposed as a driving source in the transportation systems. This system has arranged the armature to the ground side at discontinuity. Moreover, the armature is made for every unit. However, the armature has an outlet edge on structure. A generated thrust, an induced voltage and an self-inductance change at the outlet edge. An old study is not performed about the control system which considered this outlet edge and the gap between armatures. The closed loop control needs to design a simulation model in consideration of a motor constant. This paper reports the motor model of DPM-LSM, and verifies the influence of the gap between armatures.
