  • Abstract
    The computation fluid dynamics (CFD) software FLUENT and its application to flow and temperature fields simulation were briefly introduced. In combination with forced- air cooling isolated-phase bus (IPB), the numerical simulation results of the velocity and temperature fields inside IPB under different flow velocity and temperature of air was given. K-epsiv model and SIMPLE algorithm were applied as the basic method. The simulation results indicate that the flow velocity and temperature of air and inlet position of flow air inside IPB mainly influence on the field distribution based on numerical simulation analysis of FLUENT, it is helpful for design and optimization design of IPB.
