Abstract
A growing number of current waveshaping methods applied to single-phase rectifier are now available including active and passive methods and selection of the best-suited method for a particular case can be a complicated decision making process. A classification of the various available waveshaping methods is presented in this paper aimed at presenting a review of current waveshaping methods to researchers, designers and engineers dealing with single-phase rectifiers.
