Abstract :
Holographic representations of images can be obtained using subsampling fourier transforms and inverse indexing with pre-filtering. An arbitrary portion cropped from holographic image representation of an image can be used to reconstruct the original image. The quality of the reconstruction depends on the size of the portion cropped. It is shown in this paper the robustness in reconstruction of original image from holographic image representation which has a strong potential for image compression.
