Abstract :
The aim of the NEMO project is to perform R&D for an underwater neutrino telescope located in the Ionian sea south-east of the Sicily coast. In this work the qualification and reliability procedure developed for the NEMO R&D experiment is presented from a theoretical and experimental point of view. Test results on the NEMO readout electronics are also presented.
