Abstract :
We exploited the enhanced capabilities of the upgraded CDF trigger system to design a new online selection for a light Standard Model Higgs boson produced in association with a W weak boson. The new trigger relies entirely on calorimetric requirements to detect the large missing energy from the W leptonic decay and two jets coming from the Higgs decay to a bb macr quark pair. The result is a very inclusive trigger, complementary to the standard HW selections, based on high-momentum lepton signatures, which combines high efficiency for the signal with reasonable trigger rates up to the highest expected luminosities of Tevatron Run II.
