  • Abstract
This paper presents and theorizes the problematic of intelligence through an examination of diverse denotations relating to the statements, dreams, visions and apparitions of modernity. Chain effects of the term\´s delusion are the crisis and explosion of logistics, the expansion of uncritical operation protocols [described here as the diligence phenomenon], and the perversion of "intelligence as business service" actually signifying ruthless surveillance and panopticism. If "acumen" stands for intelligence, then "logistics" stands for diligence or practical responsiveness, for the execution of commands with limited or no critical involvement. The intention is to generate and present an agenda that formulates strategies and arguments that may recover the issue of intelligence, in modernity.
