Abstract
In this paper, we describe a negotiator subsystem of our previous work, namely the context oriented architecture, along with its underlying protocol. The context oriented architecture is a responsive infrastructure that monitors the context of both client and service, and allows for custom responses to be designed and triggered by service developers. The negotiator subsystem allows clients and services to agree on their semantics on interaction in terms of context monitoring and reactivity. We use sequence diagrams to define the underlying sequence of the negotiator and its protocol, and through experimental results, we demonstrate the performance of the negotiator subsystem.
