Abstract
New correlation coefficients have been defined in order to differentiate multi-antennas system diversities: polarization, magnitude, and phase. Coefficients are linked to antenna radiation functions without channel characteristics and can be calculated in any direction (thetas, phi). The approach used to define these coefficients is explained and several examples of diversity schemes are given. It permits to point out the use of these coefficients to select antenna designs that match channel characteristics.
