Abstract
This paper examines the impact on antenna and RCS measurement accuracy of including within the specifications of a compact antenna test range the requirement that it make high power measurements. These are the type of measurements that would be required in the testing of full radar systems with active electronically scanned array antennas. After explaining the main differences in the range required for high power testing the CATR error budget of the range is examined and compared with the levels of accuracy that could normally be expected from conventionally specified ranges.
