Abstract :
A model to derive the dynamics of rain attenuation from rain rate data, which was previously derived using data measured in southern England, is compared to measurements in northern Italy. Some discrepancies are found, and some improvements to the model are made. It is found that the frozen-storm hypothesis should be abandoned in this climate.
