Abstract :
This paper introduces a simple transformation algorithm that enables probe-corrected, near-field and far-field data to be obtained from plane bi-polar near-field measurements [4, 9] which avoids the usual requirement to counter-rotate the probe and has the additional benefit of relaxing the restrictions that are usually placed upon the pattern of probe. Furthermore, this near-field to far-field transform, which avoids recourse to approximation [5, 2], is employed in combination with a minimum sampling scheme in order that measurement times can be reduced. Preliminary experimental results are presented and discussed.
