Abstract
This paper presents a methodology for simulating broadband antenna arrays using a combined domain decomposition (DD) and model order reduction (MORE) approach, in the context of the finite element method. The large computational resources required for array modeling are minimized since DD methods efficiently reuse information associated to geometrical repetitions in the array. The complexity of the geometries are handled by h-adaptive mesh refinement in conjunction with higher-order tangential vector finite elements. Their broad frequency response is accounted through an singular value decomposition (SVD) based MORE technique.
