Abstract :
This paper presents a bowtie-like monopole integrated with a slot antenna for future wireless communication applications. It can cover the frequency band of 1.8 - 12.8 GHz for DCS, UMTS, WLAN and UWB systems foiVSWR < 2 . Parametric studies have been carried out to further investigate the effect of the tuning elements (Wl, LI and L2) on the frequency of operations. Simulated current distributions and radiation patterns are presented.
