A method for the improvisation of messaging in wireless mobile devices

The ever increasing presence of wireless mobile devices in present day´s networks demands a method for fast and secure transmission of messages that fits into the limitations of the wireless mobile environment. In this paper, we present a method for messaging across heterogeneous wireless mobile devices, eliminating some of the limitations of XML related to the mobile wireless environment, but at the same time retaining the advantages of XML. The work is based on YAML Ainf markup language (YAML), a user friendly and light weight messaging format. In addition to the proposals for slicing the verbosity of the messages, specifications to make sure the safe transmission of messages are presented. Evaluation results show that the proposed method is significantly better than the XML messaging in the wireless mobile environment.
