Abstract :
This paper investigates LPF requirements for IR-UWB systems, especially targeting the IEEE 802.15.4a standard. We first suggest the architecture for IEEE 802.15.4a IR-UWB to construct a frame at the transmitter and successfully decode the transmitted bits at the receiver. We then relieve the LPF requirement, focusing on implementation at low-complexity and small size. Simulation results verify our suggestion by looking at the effect of non-ideal LPF on the baseband receiver algorithms.
