  • Abstract
    The future availability of IEC 61850 based substation control systems will provide a platform for greater autonomy of control algorithms which have thus far relied on the substation control system for operational data. This paper discusses the theory behind the controller design and the potential application of such autonomous controllers as replacements for existing equipment.
