Abstract :
At present, power industry in developing country is gradually being changed from planned economy to market economy. In order to meet the need of bidding in the generation-side electricity market especially in China, an operable bidding mode called "capacity contract + efficiency replacement + timely market" is presented, which determines the contract power price by the sum of the fixed cost and variable cost. Based on the analysis of the existing bidding mode, this mode closely combines the characteristics of the present reform of Chinese power industry and reflects the developmental trend of the Chinese electricity market. The presented mode is proved reliable and feasible by system simulation and an actual operation in a provincial electricity market. It is beneficial to operating and steadily transiting in electricity market, reducing the total generation cost and promoting the rapid development of industry and agriculture as well as realizing the optimal arrangement of resources and the sustainable development of the power industry.
